Fly identification - Near Hope, British Columbia

Cranbrook, Canada

Hello all, I was hoping to get some help identifying the flies that were on this fleabane before the bees came in. This was filmed near Hope, British Columbia at around 5000 feet elevation.

Thank you in advance for any help provided!

They are solitary bees; likely in the Tribe Eucerini - Long-horned Bees.

Oh wow. As I wrote the original post, I was thinking that it is likely these are a species of wasps and not flies. But I wasn't aware there were bees with this body style! Just to clarify, the original insects on the daisy are what you were referring to?

If I may bother you for one more item of help, what are the larger bees? I am able to discard many possibilities, but can't find a positive identification using online sources on bumble bees.

I would consider Bombus frigidus (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/16/Bombus_frigidus.PNG) and Bombus mixtus (http://www.sitkanature.org/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/20080717/20080717-bee-1.jpg) as the two most likely suspects.
