Hi, I planted a few Oriental lily bulbs in a container at my home in North India. The plants have now grown for around 2 months and are looking healthy, except for one. This particular plant was the only one which had small buds form early during its growth before the winters started. The winter weather here is similar to USDA 10b (min this year has been around 3°C/ 35°F) Temperature expected yo remain same for 2 weeks, then improve. Now since the past few days, the top leaves of this plant have turned brown and the buds have shriveled. The bottom leaves appear healthy. The rest of plants are doing fine. I did not apply any antifungal or any other chemical/fertilizer while planting. Could this be disease/deficiency or is the plant just conserving energy to survive cold weather? Do I need to intervene or observe? Any help would be most appreciated.
