I don't think I've seen this beetle before. What might it be?

I believe it might a june bug.

Obviously a scarab beetle; looks like something in the subfamily Rutelinae, possibly a Pelidnota sp. For an example, see the attached image (P. viridana). Bear in mind that there are several species of purely green scarabs in your neck of the woods.
