Hello, need some help how to fix up the lemon skin on my lemons. The juice is fine but it just doesn't look appealing and im worried the tree is sick.
Lemon disease
Hi Lilyr,
what your have there is stings from the dreaded Queensland fruit fly.
No need to panic! fruit will still be fine to juice etc. only when the fruit become too ripe you will notice small larvae appear under the pith. To iradicate the fruit fly is near on impossible, traps are available from some suppliers but, they only catch the males due to the odour the bait gives off. the females aren't attracted by this, only prevention i can think of is to cover fruit with a fine mesh net as we do with peaches, mangos, nectarines etc. in Queensland Good Luck
