I found about a 1/2 dozen of these 'new' plants in my flower beds throughout the yard. The 'flowers' make me think they may be weeds but need help id'ing. one photo is of the root which looks like a small carrot and the stems are rubarb color.

That's Pokeweed - Phytolacca america.
Much easier to remove at that size, than when they grow up...
