CLOSED: Dragonfly?

Yumbo, Colombia

This was stunning in flight and I wish I'd caught it before it landed. It has four beautiful blue and black wings.

This is a gorgeous damselfly (suborder Zygoptera); I believe that it is in the genus Megaloprepus - see https://www.pugetsound.edu/files/resources/4295_Megaloprepus%20caerulatus%204.jpg. You might try locating a copy of this book: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/256506742_Colombian_Odonata_Field_Guide

Thank you Flap. From what I/ve come across not seems caerulatus is the only species in that genus.
