No matter what I plant, bedding plants, veggies, bushes, they do not grow any more than when I planted them. Not dying, not growing, nothing. I have always been able to grow anything, now, I can't seem to get anything to grow. I bought a lilac bush this past spring, it has not been growing, not worried about flowers, but the whole bush is not growing. No new leaves, no branches, nothing. Please help
Plants do not grow
It may be dormant. It may take awhile to break dormancy. How long have you had the things you've planted in the ground? They may all be dormant. If they aren't dying back, but making no progress forward, I would say continue to water, fertilize and care for them, then give them a chance to eventually come around. Plants break dormancy in their own time. Gardening often requires patience. Sometimes, you won't see anything for a season or two, then it will suddenly burst forth with leaves and blossoms. Well worth the wait. The trick is not to stop caring for them.
Thank you. I plantd things last spring and a year before.
Pictures are worth thousands of words...
