Hi! I have found a bunch of circular holes on my hardy hibiscus buds. It looks almost like they were "drilled", about 1/8" in diameter. The buds with holes turn yellow and drop off the plant. I've opened one of the damaged buds up and couldn't find anything. Anyone know what is causing this? They don't seem to be hurting the overall health of the plants, but I'd still like to know what I'm dealing with.
Thanks in advance!
Hardy Hibiscus Buds - Circular Holes?
Most likely a caterpillar of some sort; I do not know of any that specifically target hibiscus but there are several referred to as budworms.
