I am excited to try my hand at growing jasmine indoors this summer because I love the scent. I live in a NYC apartment, so outdoors is just not an option for me. I have it in a sunny window and it seems happy.
I am not new to growing houseplants but I am new to pruning and I am completely stumped at how to manage this plant. I've read up online but am still confused. It's nice and bushy now. I've had it for a month. It was blooming when I first brought it home. Those blooms faded and it is now starting a 2nd set of blooms. It has also started sending out vines. My goal is to allow it to bloom as much as possible throughout the season.
I am confused as to whether I should prune back the vines now to keep it bushy (and continue pruning them back when they shoot up) or if I should allow them to grow and wait until the end of summer (or some other time?) to prune them back. (photos of the plant are before the vines started growing)
Any guidance would be so appreciated!
