Hey All,
I'm new to this forum. I've done a lot of research and I can't seem to come to any conclusion on my own, so I hope someone maybe had a similar experience. I grew up farming in Wisconsin with my grandfather until the age of 18 when I went off to college. I lived in NYC for 10 years after graduating before moving back to the Midwest. I've lived in Michigan for 3 years and have really enjoyed getting back to my roots by having my own garden.
This year, I came across something quite perplexing. I purchased some rainbow carrot seeds from ferry morse. The seeds themselves were bright pink, but I didn't think much about it. I sowed them in late April and by late May I thinned the plants to the desired spacing. As spring wore on, I noticed the stems looking a little odd. These did not look like normal carrot stems.
Fast forward to the end of June and I have very tall "stems" which I am almost certain are actually tomato plants.
Has anyone had an experienced of mislabeled seeds? Am I going crazy?
Thanks,
Rob
Mislabeled carrot seeds?
A photo would help. Ferry Morse should be fairly reliable on labeling. Other fly-by-nights not so much...
PS - pink seeds may just be coated with inoculant...
