Three of my tomato plants suddenly became very malformed. Any ideas what might have caused this?

Has any insecticide been sprayed near them? Has anyone used a herbicide in the yard? Where did the leaves go? Did they fall off?
No, the leaves never formed correctly. Not sure if someone in the neighborhood might have used herbicide or insecticide. I'm beginning to think this is the only possibility. Personally, I have not used either, but I've found another place on the internet that seems to indicate the damage is likely from herbicide. Thanks for your response.
