Hello!
I have a Hen and Chick and I am unsure what I can do to bring life back to it. She was originally dying to begin with due to the soil type it was in. Once watered it became the consistency of mud and held the water for days. I removed the damaged leaves and repotted it in soil with MUCH better drainage and I gave it just a splash to drink once in the new soil. A few days later, I am noticing the same damage that I first saw when it was in the muddy soil. Based on the photos provided, what could be advised? Maybe I'm thinking too much about it since it is my first succulent and maybe I just need to leave it alone? I don't want any fallen soldiers on my watch. Thank you for reading!
My very first succulent... help :\\
Yes, succulents don't like to be over-watered. Leave it alone. Let the soil dry out between waterings. These succulent plants are drought-resistant since they store water in their leaves, but they still need occasional watering. During the summer heat they need to be watered more frequently.
Looks fine to me. Cville's advice is good. Assuming it's outside, you won't need to water it much in FLA, because it's so humid. BTW, Hens & Chicks love to be planted near concrete, like sidewalks, because it's hot & dry, and they like the lime in the concrete.
In your photos, it looks nice and green. Did it revive on its own?
