My strawberry plant's leaves have turned brown over the past few days. I am not sure if I am overwatering or underwatering. I was watering it almost every day and it was in the hot sun. So I moved it inside next to a sunlit window and stopped watering it because the soil feels slightly damp, about an inch down. However, the top of the soil appears dry and the leaves are dry. There is no standing water under it. Can I still save it? I have attached before and after pictures.
Strawberry plant dying (beginner)
Compost it and try again. Most likely you overwatered it, especially since it's in a plastic pot, which holds water in the soil, unlike a clay pot, which is porous. Strawberries like good drainage. Also, don't put a new plant in full, hot sunlight. Let it acclimatize in the shade for a while.
