This is my first time trying to strategy seeds but they are not looking good. They are in damp peat moss, and some look fine, some are full of white fuzzy mold looking stuff, like seedlings get sometimes. They are in individual zip lock sandwich baggies. One actually has a small stalk, but I don't know if it can be saved. It's a first time experiment for me, but I'd like to get at least one plant! Are there any ways to save these, and for next time, better ways to do this? They are mostly columbine, which I have never grown before. I tried some roses too and a few other plants. They have been in the fridge for about a month.
Stratified seeds turning white and fuzzy
Place Columbine seeds on top of moist paper towels, put the paper towels into a plastic bag and place the bag in the refrigerator for three to six weeks prior to planting. Check them regularly to prevent the seeds from drying out. Moldly seeds should be thrown away.
I have not tried to stratify rose seeds
