Looked to me to be ready to bite.

About all that I can say is that it bears a superficial resemblance to the genus Camponotus (carpenter ants), but the dorsum of its thorax does not seem to be as convex as usually seen in that genus. See http://www.antwiki.org/wiki/Colombia for a list of ant species known from Colombia; you will see a large number in the genus Camponotus.
