Moved into a new house with lots of Black Widows and this guy. Not sure if he’s dangerous. Northern New Mexico, 7600 ft. Thank you!
Spider ok?
This spider is in the family Agelenidae (grass/funnel web spiders). If you were in the eastern US, I would say that it most likely was in the genus Agelenopsis, but in the western states, identification becomes more problematic. Large specimens are capable of biting, but they are not dangerous to humans.
