What Kind Of Flyer
It's a crane fly (family Tipulidae); it looks like something in the subfamily Limoniinae - see https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c4/Limonia_nubeculosa01.jpg for an example. This is an enormous family comprising several thousand species.
