Found on the kale and was chilly enough to not move. HARD to crunch. Antennas to rival a Longhorn steer.
CLOSED: A cold bug
It's a long-horned wood-boring beetle in the genus Saperda, likely a roundheaded apple tree borer, Saperda candida.
No apple trees near here- unless you count the liqudambars, ch tallow trees, pine, oak and ilex vomitoria, woodpecker foods. Thank you will keep them in memory..
