I’m in northeastern Illinois Zone 5 and during fall clean up I found a patch of these plants growing among the weeds. Anyone know what this is? Should I keep or remove?
What is this plant?
It's common name is "polk" (phytolacca americana).
Get rid of it, it's a weed, and has a tap root to China!
