I found a really pretty moth in my garden that looked like an Achemon Spinx, except the color on the wings was intensely red-orange instead of pink. Is this a variation on Achemon Sphinx, or another moth that happens to look very similar?
Achemon Spinx relative?
At the moment the only Sphingidae I found that can, although vaguely, resemble Achemon sphinx (Eumorpha achemon) is Laothoe-populi.

Also, the Achemon sphinx moth shows considerable variation in hind wing color. Google images for "Eumorpha achemon moth"
Hrm. Not really. I'll see if I can't spot it again and get a clear picture. Thanks for the input, guys.
