What Kind Of Bug?

Yumbo, Colombia

And are they damaging? There are many hundreds under my patio and they only come out at night. They run around like crazy perhaps feeding. About 12 mm long.

A terrestrial crustacean in the order Isopoda. In the states, these usually are called sowbugs, pillbugs, roly polys or woodlice. The vast majority are harmless scavengers on decomposing organic matter, but some occasionally can damage tender vegetation.
