At least I think it is a tarantula. Small, only about 6 cm long. I also wonder if tarantulas such as Pamphobeteus sp. start out quite small and gradually grow to much larger adult size so that perhaps this one is a young specimen.
Tarantula ID Please
It is a tarantula, but I hesitate to attempt a specific i.d. - all tarantulas start out very small and then gradually grow to adult size, some species taking more than a year to do this. You can compare your specimen with a juvenile Pamphobeteus sp. at http://www.tarantulacanada.ca/pic.php?active=price&p=Pamphobeteus-Colombia-Paisa
Also. if you use FaceBook at all, check out this page: https://www.facebook.com/TarantulasDeColombia/
Very good thanks very much.
