creeping Jenny and perennials

Quakertown, PA

I have creeping jenny which showed up in a woodland corner that got very wild after a large tree was taken out. I have planted woodland sunflower, goats beard, phlox, blackeyed susan, threadleaf coreopsis, blue false indigo, swamp mallow, purple coneflower, daylilies, culver's root, rose campion, spiderwort, and red monarda - all extras from other beds in the yard. These plants are among other area volunteers - sensitive ferns, viburnum, Christmas ferns, a couple of local grasses and a number of other locals which are seasonal like jewel weed and woody aster. The idea is to have an area that requires little maintenance and fills the spot according to its own balance so 50 trees are not sprouting up to replace the one that was removed. The creeping Jenny is creeping everywhere which is preferable to the stilt grass or creeping charlie which usually is the dominator. My question is, will creeping jenny creeping among the red monarda stems, damage or dissuade the new growth for next year? Would it be best to give it guarded access around some of the plants? We have had an inordinate amount of rainfall this summer in eastern Pa, apparently exactly what this ground cover likes. I would appreciate any insight/advice the members her can offer. This is not a manicured bed but a nice balance of perennials - locals and otherwise. It is a space which I would like to allow to grow more naturally without much supervision! Thanks for any assistance :)
