I deliberately let milk weed grow here and there in my garden hoping to help out the monarch butterflies . This morning when I was Walking along my perennial border ( my neighbor always says that I’m reviewing the troops) I saw this bug on the milk weed
Cool looking bug on my milk weed
It has the same coloring as a monarch I wonder if it is friendly coincidence or a more sinister predatory reason
It's an ailanthus webworm moth - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ailanthus_webworm
Thank you Flapdoodle I appreciate the response : )
