Hi, I have some white stuff on my Crape Myrtle and not sure what it is and how to help get rid of it. It looks a bit like mealy bugs. Please take a look and thanks in advance for your help!
Please help...issue with Crape Myrtle
I would try a spray made of insecticidal soap (natural). Haven't had any problems with my Crape Myrtles--(4ft high bushes--trimmed back each fall).
It turned out not to be an insect problem. Further research found:
Guttation is the exudation of drops of xylem sap on the tips or edges of leaves of some vascular plants, such as grasses, and a number of fungi. Guttation is not to be confused with dew, which condenses from the atmosphere onto the plant surface.
