Unknown Bee like bug

Tucson, AZ

So I live in Tucson Arizona and i saw a very small bee like insect land on my window. At first this would not in any way be odd, until i looked at it closer. It has the general body shape of a bee, has a very slight tint of green in its body, little hair, green and shiny eyes and yellow tipped antennae. the legs have a grayish to yellowish gradient and appears to have lost its stinger (if it ever had one, I am fairly confident that it did however). I have lived in Tucson all my life, have never seen such an insect and its length is the width of my pinkie nail threw me off as well. I have looked on the internet and have seen little insects bearing any resemblance to it. Any insight would be much appreciated.

A dorsal view (top side) view would be necessary in order to identify this bee. It may be in the family Halictidae (sweat bees) - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/sweat_bees_halictidae for some examples

I apologize for the lack of a top view photo, it flew away as i attempted to get a photo so the underside was all i could provide. However based on the link you have provided, a few resemble the bee namely the greenish color and the yellow legs and antennae. I have looked into the sweat bee and there are a few species in the sonoran desert and surrounding areas, and this was possibly one of them. Thank you for your assistance.
