Hello, I started 13 asparagus plants from seed, which are now in individual styrofoam cups. They are several inches tall and fanned out (see pic, taken 2 days ago). It is not possible at this time to put them in the ground, due to several factors I won't take the time to explain right now. Since it will be several weeks before I can plant them, should I leave them as they are or transfer them to one or 2 larger pots and let them start growing together? Since it is just the first year, would it make a difference if I planted them closer together in the pot than is recommended, then later spread them out more in the ground?
