I was at our local conservatory today and happened across many of these small flies. I know the conservatory brings in beneficial bugs to help the plants out. Needing to know is just curiosity on my part.
CLOSED: Identification please
This looks like a tachinid fly; those all are parasitic on other arthropods, mainly other insects. However, I would like to see its wing veins just to be certain.
Thank you Flapdoodle for what you were able to provide. Unfortunately I don't have a shot where the wings are focused.
