Could this be the graft of previous grandmother's China rose that will never flower thus removal will be necessary. Old rose had fungal scale all over the branches so was removed. If I could feed and get to flower I would save it though. Thanks for any info.
Old China rose removed rose bush remains nonflowering
from my experience once it stops flowering nothing you can do can make it flower again. I read that roses only bloom for so long. I had a beautiful sorbet rose and every year it bloomed literally hundreds of roses and one year it stopped and never bloomed again. So upsetting. I trimmed it back and did as i always did for it and nothing. This is just my experience. I hope someone else can give you a better answer
