Looks like a mini bearded iris but spiky leaves. Please help identify.

The serrated leaves are not from the iris. Iris have smooth edges on grass-like leaves. If you look really close in the middle of the picture, you can see the tip of an iris leaf. The iris has just grown up and through the other plant--which I can't identify.
Yes, I agree. Those leaves do not go with the iris. Maybe Iris versicolor.

Though I have no clue what your serrated plant is.
Since the Iris is a wetland plant, the serrated leaves might be Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal Flower.) I have lots of them growing in the same area as my few Iris plants.
