Idea: propagating cuttings IN honey

I have always wondered if cuttings would root successfully placed in 100% honey-
The honey is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and supplies the cutting with carbohydrates. It will not dry out but it also will not develop mold or rot.

If anyone has had any luck with this idea please let me know! I have tried to find articles on it online but haven’t come across any.

Won't work as a rooting hormone since it has no plant hormones. Rooting hormones regulate growth, and have plant compounds and nutrients. Plants create their own sugars and cannot process other sugars. What honey can do is protect the raw cutting ends, but too much can cause harm as the honey microorganisms and soil microorganisms will fight each other
