Yesterday, April 28, 2018, I posted a comment on the Gardening Watchdog page, and that comment did appear. Then, later that same day, I wrote an update, clicked on "finish", and my original comment disappeared, and the update never showed up. This morning, April 29, 2018, I tried to post a new comment, and it didn't show up, either. Both of these dates appear at the top of my comments page, showing that I did indeed write them, but all of my latest content is missing! It also shows that the company I reviewed wrote a response to my comments, but they haven't shown up, either. I've D-mailed Daves Garden about this, and am awaiting their reply. But, I am wondering if anyone else is having the same problem trying to post their comments on the Watchdog page, and/or having their posted comments suddenly disappear?
Any ideas what may have caused this sudden and continuing glitch?
Is anyone else having trouble with the Watchdog page?
You might try reporting this on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the main page. I know they've been short-staffed for awhile so you may not get a response.
I did report it using that "contact us" tab. It was recorded as outgoing D-Mail from me. I know it takes them a long time to answer, but I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Translated: Is it just me and something with my computer, or is it a glitch on their end? All of my other computer activity has gone along without any hitches or glitches, so I suspect there may be something wrong with the Daves Garden server.

It is so bizarre that Admin never responds to this forum or DG Site Updates Discussion Forum. Makes me feel like they do not want to hear from us. LOL I had great hopes that Melody would do a much better job than Terry ever did, but alas Melody seems to be following in her footsteps. I think their feelings get hurt when people get so frustrated with the problems and bark at them. Odd way to run a business.
On the upside, a glitch in PlantsFiles was just fixed, so there is hope.
flowermaiden2, I did notice another had a recent, similar and unanswered inquiry. https://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1472909/
Was your comment on Burgess Seeds? https://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/233/
I see that is listed on your page as your latest comment but does not show on their page. There are 3 recent ratings on Burgess seeds (last being April 25, 2018) so commenting on them does work at times.
I notice when I hit a glitch and if it is fixed, your comments will probably retroactively show up.
If your comment was to Burgess and you wanted to know their response to your negative rating (I assume negative due to their plethora of negatives) it seems their usual response is "A customer care representative has contacted this customer for further information. We do hope to hear back from the customer as we would like to help resolve this problem" but in looking a bit back no one changed their rating from negative so it seems their negative issues were never resolved.
No, it wasn't Burgess, and my rating and comment was positive. So were the updates. This is a company I have done business with for several years, and generally, I've had good experiences with them. I just wanted them to know how pleased I am with the quality of the plants they sent me and the promptness of delivery (a little TOO prompt this time, as I had requested later shipment due to how erratic our Spring weather has been this year). Nonetheless, it was great customer service, and I always like to tell them so on Daves Garden. I did e-mail them directly with my comments, so I hope they can see them. I did it by clicking on their "e-mail" link on Daves Garden, because I don't have a direct e-mail addy for them. That means, hopefully, my message got re-routed to them. Fingers crossed!
It's good to know I'm not the only one who has inquired about glitches. Another one occurred when I clicked the "preview" tab at the bottom of a D-mail message I wanted to send. The little wheel just spun and spun, and it finally timed out and an error message came up.
That is great you did not waste your money at Burgess!! It must be hard work to get 383 negative comments. LOL
I have never had that problem with it buffering here but there is always tomorrow!
The company I reviewed is affiliated with Burgess, but isn't actually Burgess. It's Dutch Gardens, and while I disapprove of some of their policies, they have generally done pretty well for me. I've always been honest in my reviews, and if I felt something wasn't right, I said so. I don't do business with Burgess, outright. I think I did so once, and that was enough.
The good news is your rating is now viewable on Dutch Gardens.

My rating has always been visible there, but my latest comments still haven't reappeared, and my updates to them still haven't shown up. I just checked a minute ago. The comments seen there are older ones from 2015 and 2016. The company's latest response is dated May, 2017. None of my comments of April 28 and April 29, 2018 are there. And the folks I D-Mailed haven't answered me. Frankly, I think that's rude, understaffed or not.

Well,now it's even worse!
At the top of my reviewing page, it says, "On May 2, 2018 Flowermaiden2 of St. Maries, ID wrote:"
And that's it. No showing of what I wrote..
Following that is the full listing of the dates on which I've posted in the past, but none of my actual comments, which now have ALL disappeared except for part of a single line from one of my 2015 posts, which is all that NOW shows up on my screen.
After that, responses from the company through May of 2017.
That's all that currently shows up for me on my reviewing page for Dutch Gardens.
AGAIN, I have contacted the admin with details of my latest (May 2) comments also NOT showing up, and I reminded them that this is the THIRD TIME I've contacted them about my disappearing/absentee posts! This time, I specifically requested they reply to me. There's no excuse to not answer. It only takes a few minutes to acknowledge a message and let me know if they are working on fixing this problem. I find their continued total silence extremely discourteous and disrespectful. Being understaffed is no excuse. It doesn't take that long to post a brief acknowledgement.
If I continue to be treated this way, I shall not be using the Watchdog page in the future.
Meanwhile, I intend to write Dutch Gardens an old-fashioned snail-mail letter acknowledging the receipt of my order and letting them know I am very happy with it. I can get their address from the top of their page, and also from their catalog. My letter will be sent to the attention of their customer service department.
Or, as an alternative, I shall try to look up their direct e-mail address, NOT the link on Daves Garden that would re-route my message to them. With all the problems I'm having, they probably won't get it.
Is anyone else having this problem with the Watchdog page, aside from that one other poster here? It would seem very strange if this is only happening to me and nobody else. And NO explanation for it.
Even if Daves Garden's admin doesn't fix this, Dutch Gardens can still be contacted directly.

There were 9 entries to Garden Watchdog already today so it looks like it is working fine.
If I may hazard a guess, I bet it was not programmed to handle 15 entries and 15 updates from 1 person on 1 nursery. I do not think I have ever seen so many from 1 person on 1 nursery. It looks like when you got to 15, the system just couldn't handle so many and went kaflooey.
Too bad it was not originally designed to enter each entry as a totally separate entry with the option to specify which entry to update and not just keep adding original updates and updates on top of each other in 1 entry.
I've just now checked, and none of my 2018 comments are there, yet. The only one that initially posted and then disappeared is still gone, and none of my later updates have yet shown up. So, it's still not working.
As for overload, you could be right. I've never understood why they have it set up so reviews and updates over years and years pile up one on top of another on top of another. Users aren't going to go back through all of those previous years and read all of those past reviews. They want current information on customers' experiences, and current responses from the companies. How are people being treated, now?
It does seem ironic, though, that everyone else's reviews are plainly visible, but my latest ones are either gone when they once were there, or haven't even appeared for the first time. Why are others' posting when mine aren't?
This still hasn't been fixed, as of a few minutes ago, when I looked. Until I get a notification in my D-Mail from the Admin that this has been fixed, I'm not going to waste my time going over there, anymore. And I won't be posting my experiences with the other nurseries I do business with, either. I'll just contact those nurseries directly with any comments I may have. The Watchdog page is glitchy, and none of those folks seem interested in communicating with me about it.

The admin finally got back to me, and has fixed this, for now. There's weird formatting that has appeared with my earlier comments which I don't know the reason for or how to fix that. Admin manually posted my comment, so it does appear. Not sure how it will work in the future, but for now, it's fixed.
The comments should work as normal for any future GWD comments. If further issues arise, please do let me know. You may also email me directly at tyson.yen@internetbrands.com
