Bleeding heart seeds

Rpr, India

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie gardener from India. After a thorough, frustating search(both offline and online) for a bleeding heart plant, the best I managed to get was some seeds from a german website. I got them germinated (cold stratification) but I have no clue about how should I proceed further. I know it will be difficult to grow them in Indian climate. How should I proceed? Should I plant them indoors or in a shaded area?

Hey Arlus,
I actually grow and sell a few varieties of this plant myself in the states. I’m not sure what your climate is because the climates vary depending on the part of India, but I know that this plant really appreciates humidity and it will be happiest in dappled sunlight or morning sun. It will go into dormancy in cold climates and come back once it gets warm but don’t expose it to freezing temps. It is a really tropical plant so it wants soil that stays somewhat moist.
I hope this helps!

Thanks for the valuable info😊. The climate at my place is hot and humid. Can you suggest ways to meet it's sunlight requirements as days are long right now due to summer?

Sure. I would try placing the plant in the shade of a taller tree or in an area where it gets morning sun. It loves hot and humid climates so it should be quite happy there!
