Espalier vine alternative to Asian Jasmine (Trachelospermum asiaticum)

Hi,
I planted Asian jasmine on an espalier. It grew but did not survive the winter. I am in Hardiness zone 6 in NJ thought the plant prefers 7 and up. Can anyone suggest a goof alternative? Thanks
