We found this stink bug crawling across our kitchen counter and are assuming it came out of the package of strawberries that were from Florida. I need to know if it is a native to Ontario stink bug or something I need to make the Dept of Agriculture aware of. Sorry if the pictures are not super clear as it wouldn't stop moving and its inside a glass jar. Also, how do I kill it? Silly question I know but... Can I put it in the freezer, will that kill it? Thank you for your time
I cannot be certain, but it might be in the genus Euschistus, which occurs throughout North America. Regardless of specific identity, freezing certainly would kill it.
