What is this tiny insect?
This is a beetle in the family Anobiidae. The larvae of some species are wood borers; some may infest dry stored food products - see https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/forestry/pests-and-diseases/cigarette-beetle for an example. Check exposed unpainted/unfinished woodwork for pinhole openings with sawdust beneath, as well as any dry stored food items (including spices and dry pet food) foe any signs of insect infestation.
