Hello,
I would love to identify the name of the attached tree or shrub. It's growing here in zone 8 Texas unfortunately the family who originally planted it have moved.
Thanks,
Shawn
Name of tree / shrub
How about a few more images? You can post up to 5 at a time; just reply to your own post.
Take closer pictures of leaves (top and bottom), and how they are attached along the stem. Show any apparent fruit and flowers. Take pictures of stems, terminals, bark, trunk, etc. Show the whole plant from different directions.
Additional photos would be helpful as the one you posted is not clear.
The bark looks uncharacteristic for a Ligustrum japonicum Texanum, but again pictures are often worth a thousand words
those pictures aren't much better for my eyes, perhaps someone else could id based on the pics. I would suggest a close up of the leaves and how they attached to the branches could make a difference. if the pics are clear someone will know what the plant in question is
Those are fine distance shots. Now, get up and embrace the plant and show us some details.
You should be able to take pictures of leaves/stems that fill the image screen. That's the level of detail that will help ID this plant. You can place your hand behind a branch or leaf cluster, and photograph that. This way, your hand provides some scale to show how large or small the leaves and other details are.
