This gal has been living on my window screen outside and had babies not too long ago. Couldn’t get an abdomen pic but here’s a pretty clear shot of the back. Is this bugger part of the Widow family? I have toddlers that I gotta be careful with around spiders!

CLOSED: Black Widow?
It's something in the same family (Theridiidae) as black widows, but most likely in the genus Steatoda. I was bitten by one when I was about 4 years old, and I recall it as being very painful, but there were no serious after effects...
