Help ID this plant please

Hi all, My Dad has this plant and can’t remember what it is. I love the thick blotchy leaves. It also looks like one leaf has light yellow variegated stripes, and I’m wondering if that is unusual, or if this plant sometimes has that. Thanks so much! Barb

Does it flower? I wonder if it is a bulb, Drimiopsis kirkii, (Ledebouria kirkii) or a relative.
