These are some leaves from my fiddle leaf fig. Slowly they are starting to go bad but the rest of the tree looks okay. What am I doing wrong? I recently fertilised and it’s in filtered indoor lift.
Help! What’s going on with my Ficus?!
Probably several things, but no pix showed up. Brown edges could indicate fertilizer burn, or cramped toes; Yellow would be over watered; if you are metering the water, try giving it a deep soak (and for the sake of bugs use a wee bit of soap in the water, and soak the leaves, too, then rinse off).
When trees are involved in a drouth: first they drop leaves, then they slough off branches, lastly they simply die. Figs need root room, stronger lite. The deep soaks also remove salt buildup from fertilizers.
