When doing a graft the stock plant (bottom part with roots ) is sending off shoots. Should they be removed ? For some reason I believe the shoots are takin energy away from the graft is this true.
Grafting
Suckers will take away from your plant. It doesn't sound good that you are having suckers below a graft, hopefully your root stock is healthy. Yes, do remove suckers.
