This spider was found in my yard this past summer (Wisconsin). I just stumbled upon the picture and tried to identify the spider myself using online sources, but to no avail.
Any idea on what kind of spider this is?
It's Enoplognatha ovata in the family Theridiidae, a European species that has been introduced into North America. This species shows great variation in its color pattern - http://bugeric.blogspot.com/2014/03/candystripe-spider.html
Thank you for the information Flapdoodle. I was looking through some of the other posts on the thread and I am amazed at your level of knowledge in the field!
