There were about 40 of this wandering on my patio. Anyone have any clue as to what they are?

These are larvae (grubs) of a scarab beetle. As they are crawling on their back, I suspect that they most likely are those of a green June beetle (aka fig eater), Cotinis nitida - https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/118538-Cotinis-nitida
