I'd like to ask the DG community, what would be the best areas in the USA to have a very long growing seasons and winters mild enough to achieve chilling requirements on most fruit trees, but still mild enough to make a heated tropical greenhouse financially viable year round.
my goal is to be able to grow the widest variety of fruits and veggies possible. and step 1 would be finding the right climate, i have come to the conclusion that a northern california/oregon coast would work, but what are your thoughts?
