Currently, these guys are overrunning the outside of my house and last night I found them in my basement. I'm in northeast Ohio. I should probably add that I have a huge spider phobia so if anyone could give me good guess as to what sort of spiders I'm dealing with it would be greatly appreciated!
Spider identification
This appears to be a wolf spider (family Lycosidae). These are active hunters that do not spin a capture web; they sometimes accidentally enter buildings during their searches for prey. They are not dangerous to humans.
