We were cleaning up some dead branches and when the chain saw started; this fellow popped out of a bore hole. He has the body of a bumble bee, a black spot on his back and large lime green eyes.
Can anyone identify him? This was taken in Cedar Park, TX, Central TX hill country.
Thanks
CLOSED: Bee Identification
Depends on its size - if large as a typical bumble bee, it might be a carpenter bee. If smaller than the average honey bee, it might be a bee in the tribe Eucerini...
Thanks. He/she was as big as a bumble bee and living in a piece of wood.
