What spider is this

Been looking online and can't find what spider this is. Hopefully someone can help. It was in my garden today and it was about the size of a 5 pence piece.

This appears to be Araneus diadematus, known as the European garden spider or cross orb weaver. Very commonly noticed at this time of year - http://www.uksafari.com/cross.htm
