So, I know this isn't a spider or insect, but I wasn't sure where else to post this. With that being said, does anyone know what kind of snake this is? My friend found it in her kitchen this evening. Thanks, and sorry for posting here if there was a more appropriate forum I was unaware of!
CLOSED: Snake ID... yes, I know this isn\'t a bug
This appears to be a juvenile rat snake (Pantherophis sp.) - https://srelherp.uga.edu/snakes/elaobs.htm
Is this in my garden venemous?
Thanks!
It;s a harmless eastern garter snake, Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis. If you are on Facebook, I suggest that you check out this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/snakeED
Thanks, Flapdoodle!
