Please help to identify this flower.A clump of these were found on a vacant lot in Gadsden,Alabama some 30 years ago. The bulbs were dug up and potted.A few years ago I moved them outside and planted them in a small garden area at my home in Lithonia,Georgia. They never bloomed in the pot.Now they bloom, but I would like to identify them. They bloom in early Fall, the new leaves come up and live through the winter and early spring. The leaves die down and then they bloom.
Plant Identification
Lycoris
I'm also interested in identifying this plant! My grandmother had them growing under a big pecan tree in her yard in south Louisiana. Same growth pattern as you describe -- first the flower stalk, then leaves come up later. She called it a spider lily, but no idea if that's its name.
