Im pulling up and redoing a planter that is comprised of those edging stones for retaining walls, Nothing too interesting on the top layer but in the 3 first stones of the next I found 3 of these spiders. What to know what Im dealing with.
They are a deep maroon brown color and have two dimples on the abdomen. They didnt seem in a hurry and didnt run from the light. I didnt get a very accurate measurement but Id say 3/4 of an inch to the tips of the front legs.
CLOSED: Maroon/brown spider with dimples
I found it actually, Steatoda bipunctata
